Our 2014 meeting was hosted by President Karen Nave Fickes in Sterling Virginia. We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Dulles from September 25-28, 2014. Friday morning, we headed off to the Udvar-Hazy Center, this is part of the Air and Space Musuem of Washington, DC. A bigger building and more aircraft. We had a nice, guided tour of the museum. After we eat lunch at this facility, we then headed out to the Manassas National Battlefield Park. Another guided tour which we learned many interesting things about the Civil War. Our Saturday night banquet was at the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. Charles and Faye Higdon coordinated this event and Charles's friend Mel Mah was the chef. Charles and Faye's children and grandchildren help with the event. Food was good.
